After spending the first part of 2012 in New York and Europe, Siobhan has just returned to Australia. See the schedule for a list of Siobhan’s upcoming engagements in Australia and overseas.
AUSTRALIAN INTERNATIONAL OPERA AWARD
Siobhan will be moving to the UK later this year as the recipient of the 2012 Australian International Opera Award. This scholarship will allow Siobhan to continue her training with international tenor and vocal teacher, Dennis O’Neill in Cardiff.
2011 ARIA AWARD NOMINATION
Baroque trio Latitude 37 were recently nominated for Best Classical Album in the 2011 ARIA Awards . Siobhan can be heard singing two tracks on Latitude 37′s album, including Amarilli Mia Bella, which was recently featured on Qantas inflight entertainment. The album was #1 in the New Zealand classical music charts for some time in 2011.
TRIUMPH IN EUROPE
In August 2011, Siobhan returned from Europe as the winner of both First Prize and the Audience Choice Award at the 2011 Meistersinger Vocal Competition in Graz, Austria. Siobhan had been studying at AIMS in Graz on scholarship from the Opera Foundation Australia. Read the review of the competition final (in German) here.
